September 19th, 2012 8:50 pm by

The annual Hard Rock Laser Masters Regatta is slated for Saturday, October 6, 2012.  The NOR is posted and online registration is open at:  http://rockhallyachtclub.org/regatta.htm

We invite all Laser sailors over age 35 to the Rock Hall Yacht Club for this event.  We have had a great regatta with good fall winds the past 6+ years.  Last year we had 16 boats turn out and we’d love to see more this year!  The Rock Hall Yacht Club is a great place to sail with lots of open space, easy beach launch, and excellent sailing venue in the Chester River.  RHYC offers a full service clubhouse with full bar and a new Fall menu.  Come check us out and enjoy great Eastern Shore winds, racing, scenery, and hospitality. Any questions can be directed to vicecommodore@rockhallyachtclub.org or 410-639-2182.

Rock Hall YC – Laser Radial Clinic
May 2nd, 2010 6:44 pm by

The RHYC Sailing School is having a Laser Radial Clinic run by Ashley Love from Annapolis. The clinic will be on May 22, 2010. We are very fortunate to have Ashley coming to RHYC to run a day of coaching and training! She will spend the day with us working with the entire group and each individual on land and on-the-water. We expect to videotape the activities on land and on the water.

The day will start at 9:00 am, break for lunch (bring yours) and continue after lunch. After the boats are put away we will adjourn to the Club House to review & critique the videos and individual performance. The day should wrap up by 4:30 pm. Students need a Laser Radial, Life Jacket, hat, sun lotion, water, sailing clothes, pen & paper, and their lunch. Cost per student is $15. This is an incredible value, with the cost being subsidized by the RHYCSS!

ABOUT ASHLEY: https://www.cleverpig.org/coachprofile.php?coach_id=347
Ashley Love graduated from University of Richmond and St Johns, Oxford, England. She is currently employed as videographer for T2P Productions covering sailing events all over the world. She was an Assistant Sailing Coach for Scott Ikle at Hobart and William Smith College. This is one of the best college sailing teams in the country. Previously she worked at a Sailing program in Middle Harbor, Australia where she went through the multi level instructor development program.

Ashley has been racing for a long time in all sorts of boats including with her father in an E-Scow. She has been racing a Radial for 7 years at the international level, and attended the Worlds in Japan last fall. She is a fun, experienced and enthusiastic coach and sailor that loves Lasers!
